txtNation seek collaboration with OTT players
« Posted: February 26, 2015, 08:20:00 PM »

With more and more Mobile Operators (MNO’s) changing their strategy and plans to partner with Over-the-Top (OTT) players such Facebook and WhatsApp, txtNation has already begun to bridge this gap between the operators and the service providers.

Nearly all MNO’s see the advantages in OTT and being part of the action
Over 3/4 of MNO’s want OTT partnerships to bolster revenues
Nearly half of MNO’s want to partner with Facebook and WhatsApp.
With P2P voice and SMS messaging revenues in decline over recent years, network operators are needing to look to alternative revenue sources.

txtNation is partnering with OTT service providers worldwide in a bid to become their one stop service provider.

Over the last several years txtNation has been building up its messaging and billing footprint to facilitate such service models, highlighting chat and dating as the fastest growth area. txtNation are currently working with many OTT providers across mobile messaging and several social services across mobile operator billing.

Making use of txtNation’s Virtual Mobile Numbers (aka. long numbers) and enabling multi-communications, true two-way interaction is now possible for OTT application developers worldwide.

txtNation CEO, Michael Whelan comments “We have added significantly to our coverage in Virtual Mobile and SMS routing over the past year, tying up deals with many worldwide network operators. We will continue to build on this growth and coincide this with existing technologies like short codes.

My vision is simple; the future of the phone number being virtual and to enable Voice activation alongside SMS, building on our successes and bringing MNO’s back into the mix! Making them relevant for such high growth OTT services.”

txtNation want to change the way in which operators participate in OTT, allowing users to take complete control of their messaging and voice flow across all communication channels, giving the mobile customer the choice on how to develop their conversations.
