Star Micronics’ Extensive Range of mPOS Printing Solutions demonstrated by Partners at The Restaurant Show 2015, Olympia, London

At The Restaurant Show 2015 (5 - 7 October 2015, Olympia, London), international POS printer manufacturer Star Micronics will be demonstrating its ever expanding range of POS and mPOS printing solutions for hospitality via a number of partners. Visitors will be able see demonstrations of Star’s latest innovations including a digital receipting service AllReceipts™, all-in-one Bluetooth printer and cash drawer mobile point of purchase solution mPOP™ as well as Star’s new HI X Connect Series for cloud printing.

Star’s digital receipting service, AllReceipts, offers retailers a free of charge, fast route to providing the customer with a digital copy of a print receipt as well as access to analytics, an in-store customer survey and device management tools. The service is available on all models of the hugely successful TSP100 futurePRNT™ series and will follow through on Star’s other receipt printer ranges.

For retailers and hospitality operators who want to use the latest mobile POS technology, Star provides a unique all-in-one Bluetooth cash drawer and printer mobile point of purchase solution. Traditionally, restaurants have joined the fast growing number of aggregation societies in order to be included in the national TV, radio, web and printed media campaigns for the online ordering services where restaurateurs have to have a receipt printer as well as an aggregation printer constantly “polling” the Cloud. Star’s new HI X Connect printers will eliminate this need by being able to function as both traditional receipt printer and Cloud order receiving (aggregation) printer. With HI X Connect, restaurants can do both jobs with just the one printer as well as it being peripheral ready for “no PC required” functions.

If the printer is used as an aggregation printer with a keyboard attached directly to the printer via a small utility programme this eliminates the need for a PC. Furthermore, the restaurant can communicate directly with the customer and provide an appropriate response to each order received, i.e whether the order is accepted, rejected (restaurant closed) or delayed. In the case of the order being delayed there is the option to provide enhanced customer service. For example, the restaurant may offer a coupon for 20% off the customer’s next order as compensation for the delay as well as notifying them about exactly how long the order will take.
