Source Code Management and Collaboration Leader Improves User Experience for Japanese Developers, Designers, Project Managers and DevOps Teams

Key Points:

Perforce has released a Japanese version of its popular collaboration and code review tool, Helix Swarm™
Helix Swarm seamlessly integrates with other Perforce products already available in Japanese
TOYO Corporation, Perforce’s exclusive partner in Japan, provides expert consulting and support

WOKINGHAM, UK. (June 2, 2015) – Perforce Software today announced the availability of a Japanese language edition of Helix Swarm, the company’s collaboration and code review tool. A part of the Perforce Helix source code management (SCM) and collaboration platform, the localised edition of Swarm brings an improved user experience and greater productivity to the many Japanese companies that rely on Perforce to connect their teams, protect their intellectual property and release their products quickly. Swarm is the latest addition to the suite of Perforce products available in Japanese, including the Helix Versioning Engine and the popular visual client, Helix P4V.

Swarm is a collaboration engine for all types of intellectual property. It unites teams to formalise content reviews, foster brainstorming and keep projects moving forward. Contributors share files, comment, suggest tasks, vote up or down, and submit final work directly within its elegant, web-based interface. Swarm automates the entire process via notifications and makes it easy to monitor progress.

“We are thrilled to bring another localised Perforce product into the Japanese market to help our customers collaborate on their products more efficiently and securely,” said Mitsuru Onodera, senior vice president and board director at TOYO Corporation. “Perforce is already trusted by some of Japan’s most influential companies such as Sony Computer Entertainment and Kyocera, and we look forward to playing a role in Perforce’s ongoing growth in this region.”

“We are committed to offering localised products to the growing roster of customers Perforce has in Japan,” said Christopher Seiwald, founder and CEO of Perforce. “We are excited to build on our long-standing partnership with TOYO Corporation, as we continue to deliver new products and capabilities that are optimised for customers in Japan.”

The Japanese version of Helix Swarm is available immediately.
