Fareham, UK, 18th September 2014 – The Open University is a pioneer in teaching and learning methods so people can achieve career and life goals, studying at times and in places to suit them. Working with Gamma the university has transformed its telephony, moving to a SIP based infrastructure.

Gamma is providing 600 resilient SIP trunks together with dedicated and resilient data connections into the Open University’s main campus and head office. It is also supplying telephone connections to 14 regional sites within the UK.

Completing the installation is Gamma’s cloud-based Inbound service which provides highly flexible call routing, and adds a further layer of resilience by permitting instant and remote control of inbound calls during potential service interruptions.
