Infocomm, Las Vegas, 14 June 2012 - Exterity, the leading provider of IPTV communication solutions, and digital signage specialists, Cilutions, have today announced a partnership that will make Cilution’s signage applications available on Exterity’s range of receivers. The partnership will enable Exterity customers to easily include comprehensive digital signage into their existing IPTV solutions. The integrated offering will be demonstrated for the first time at Infocomm in Las Vegas from 13th – 15th June on Exterity’s booth: N1755.

Cilution’s software offers users a feature rich, fully configurable digital signage solution that can be used for everything from meeting room signs and menu board displays in restaurants, to advertising and security messaging in airports and public venues. These features can now be easily integrated with Exterity’s range of receivers by simply plugging a flash drive loaded with the Cilutions software into the receiver’s USB port. No other equipment apart from the Exterity head-end solution is needed, meaning it can be deployed easily, takes up very little space and requires almost no maintenance.

“We’re delighted to be working with Cilutions,” said Colin Farquhar, CEO at Exterity. “We are always looking to offer our customers more than IPTV and have a long history of working with a variety of digital signage providers to give users a choice of solutions so they can pick the one that best meets their needs. This also gives our channel partners the tools to serve their customers better. Working with Cilutions allows us to offer customers that want a comprehensive, cost effective ‘out of the box’ digital signage solution, exactly that.”

One of the main benefits of Cilutions digital signage software is that it allows users to switch screens between application types. This gives businesses the flexibility to use screens for different purposes, for example retailers or hotels can use the screens in customer facing areas for information about services or special offers, while using staff screens in the back for video-on-demand training or screens in hotel bedrooms for guest TV.

“Exterity is well known in the industry for its high end, widely deployed IPTV solutions,” said William Stanton, Director of Business & Software Development at Cilutions. “By combining Exterity’s expertise in IPTV with our expertise in digital signage we’re able to offer the market a unique solution that’s perfect for businesses who want to quickly and easily add flexible digital signage to their existing IPTV package.”
