How do you cater for the digital consumer?
« Posted: October 24, 2014, 08:45:32 PM »

Kcom hosted a roundtable discussion this week to look at the evolution of digital consumers and the impact of digital transformation on organisations.

The event, which took place at the Heron Tower in London, was attended by some blue chip brands including Barclays, Airbus, British Gas and BP.

Whilst it was an opportunity to openly discuss how organisations should be embracing and leveraging new consumer behaviours in a digital world, guests also talked about how the power of people and processes is often overlooked when organisations try to drive the implementation of digital transformation and simply focus on the tools and technology.

Max Harding, Sales Director at Kcom, says: "It was a very lively debate, with lots of diverse opinions and experiences.  Digital transformation is challenging organisations to think differently; not only about customer engagement but their entire business models; some are managing to leverage it whilst others are struggling. We were able to get under the skin of what is meant by digital transformation, put it into context and identify how it is transforming the way that organisations are operating."

This discussion was the first in a series of events which will support the digital transformation agenda. Kcom will be attending the annual Ignite event this year, as a Platinum sponsor.
